It is 1946 in totally corrupt Bayway Town, New Jersey. It's hot and Truman’s inflation is raging, interesting everyone in collectibles. Private eye, Sam Shovelin, is hired by a woman who said that her boyfriend was murdered and his watch was stolen. The police blamed a drifter, which she does not believe.
