“Blasé Eight” is an ensemble piece which primarily follows eleven people from different walks of life with five stories which initially seem unrelated. One could also say that it’s the story of Propicio; formerly a rural hamlet on the outskirts of a big city; now suburbanized. Some might mention diversions into topics which seem marginally related to the main theme. The author originally said that it was about everyday life in the Western US of 2016. But, things got more complex than originally intended.
